Computational Engineering

Computational Engineering (CE) is a major of the Master's program in Computer Science at JKU.

As an area of specialization, CE focuses on discrete methods of modeling and computation in informatics and mathematics, and their applications to innovative engineering disciplines from computer systems and robotics to biological systems and fine arts.  We emphasize system design and engineering with hardware and software, and mathematical rigor.  Within the CE program you learn discrete, formal, algorithmic, symbolic, probabilistic, and heuristic methods of computational mathematics and informatics.

All courses are taught in English.
